The last Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae coupé delivered to the owner

The last produced example of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé, a vehicle that was put up for auction last April accompanied by an NFT, has been delivered to its owner. In this case, the winner of the auction where this chassis was offered to the highest bidder.

The manufacturer from Sant’Agata Bolognese closed an important chapter in its history by ceasing production of the Lamborghini Aventador, an emblematic model that it presented in Geneva in 2011 and launched on the market a few months later. This sporty car with sculptural lines was powered in particular by a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine which, thanks to its mesmerizing sounds and high-flying performance, was the best moment of the model.

Since its arrival on our roads, a total of 11,465 units of the Aventador have been produced, including 600 units of the LP 780-4 Ultimae version (350 units of the Coupé and 250 of the Roadster) heralding the Adventurer’s swan song.

One copy sold at auction for more than $1.6 million

Last September, Lamborghini announced delivery to the Swiss owner of the last produced Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Roadster. A model dressed in a “light blue” Ad Personam livery, offered through the brand’s personalization program. So this time it was the turn of the latest Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé to win the garage of its lucky owner. A very special one in more ways than one, as it was notably offered for sale with an NFT produced in collaboration with artists Krista Kim and Steve Aoki.

To acquire this set (car + NFT), the new owner of this “historic” Aventador spent $1,603,125. A colossal sum, of course, but at this price he has become the owner of a part of the brand’s history and a vehicle capable of formidable performance. The LP 780-4 Ultimae is powered by the 6.5 liter V12 block and has a cavalry of 780 hp and 720 Nm that propels it from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and to 355 km/h at top speed.

Finally, in addition to its historical side, the NFT and the achievements mentioned here, this Aventador chassis is very special for another reason: it is the latest model of the Italian brand powered by the famous naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 in its current configuration. (100% thermal). The replacement for the Aventador should indeed enter a V12 that will get a hybrid system grafted.
