After announcing its entry into the non-fungible token sector last June, the toy giant Mattel realizes its ambitions by launching a first collection of NFT Hot Wheels.
In its official press release, Mattel also announces the launching its own marketplace for digital collectibles (NFT) on Mattel Creations: Mattel Creations digital collectibles.
The Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 4scheduled for release on December 15, 2022, will be the first offering from Mattel Digital Collectibles to launch on this new marketplace dedicated to NFTs.
Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 4 artwork features 60 cars, including McLaren, Chevrolet, Honda, Aston Martin, Oldsmobile, Pagani, and Cadillac, plus many Hot Wheels originals.
Sold in packs for $25 each, customers can purchase up to eight packs per transaction.
Each pack contains seven Hot Wheels NFTs: four basic, two epic and a guaranteed rare car.
As a reminder, it’s the company OnChain Studios who was tasked with developing this NFT platform that will run on Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain.
Gradually, Mattel will therefore use its best-known brands such as Barbie, Masters of the Universe or Hot Wheels in digital collectibles (NFT).

A promising business, more and more big companies are entering the non-fungible token sector which can bring a lot.
The giant Nike has already raised $185 million through the sale of non-fungible tokens.
Apple, Warner Bros, Mars, Puma, LG, eBay or Starbucks have also started the lucrative trade of these increasingly popular non-fungible tokens with the general public.
Stars are also drawn to the NFT business, with many celebrities such as Madonna, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Paris Hilton or Neymar Jr. have started publishing non-fungible tokens.

Mattel therefore also hopes to generate substantial additional revenue from these newfangled digital collectibles, which are enjoying growing success with the general public.
